Transmission Brace Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the right front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the heat shield fasteners.
3. Remove the heat shield.




4. Remove the fasteners from the brace.
5. Remove the brace.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the engine to transaxle brace.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the fasteners into the engine and transmission.

Tighten the brace bolts to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).




3. Install the heat shield.
4. Install the heat shield fasteners.

Tighten the heat shield nuts to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).

5. Install the right front tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair).
