Transmission Rear Mount Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Support the engine assembly with a suitable jack.
3. Remove the nuts (1) securing the transmission mount (2) to the transmission mount bracket (3).




4. Raise the jack allowing the engine assembly to lift from the engine frame slightly.
5. Remove the bolts (3) securing the mount to the frame.
6. Remove the one nut (2) securing the mount to the frame.
7. Remove the mount (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the mount (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the mount attaching bolts (3) and nut (2) securing the mount to the frame.

Tighten the bolts and nut to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).

3. Lower the transmission in position.




4. Install the nuts (1) to the mount (2) and mount bracket (3).

Tighten the mount nut to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).

5. Remove the engine assembly support jack.
6. Lower the vehicle.
