Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair




Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LP1, LY7) (Service and Repair)Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LLT) (Service and Repair).
3. Disconnect the purge line (3) from the purge valve solenoid.




4. Disconnect the purge valve solenoid electrical connector.




5. Disconnect the purge line from the manifold side of the purge valve solenoid.
6. Remove the purge valve solenoid from the bracket.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the purge valve solenoid to the bracket.
2. Disconnect the purge line from the manifold side of the purge valve solenoid.




3. Disconnect the purge valve solenoid electrical connector.




4. Connect the purge line (3) to the purge valve solenoid.
5. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LP1, LY7) (Service and Repair)Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LLT) (Service and Repair).
