Intake Manifold Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the fuel pipe shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement (LF1) (Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement)Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement (LLT) (Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement).
2. Remove the air outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LF1) (Service and Repair)Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LLT) (Service and Repair).
3. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose (1) from the intake manifold.




4. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose (1) from the intake manifold.




5. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) hose (1) from the EVAP solenoid.
6. Disconnect the electrical connectors as necessary.




7. Remove the intake manifold bolts (1).
8. Remove the intake manifold.




9. Remove and discard the intake manifold gasket (1).
10. If replacing the intake manifold, disassemble the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Disassemble (LLT) (83. Intake Manifold Disassemble)Intake Manifold Disassemble (LF1) (83. Intake Manifold Disassemble).

Installation Procedure

1. If installing a new intake manifold, assemble the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Assemble (LLT) (85. Intake Manifold Assemble)Intake Manifold Assemble (LF1) (85. Intake Manifold Assemble).




2. Install the NEW intake manifold gasket (1).




3. Install the intake manifold.
4. Install the intake manifold bolts (1).





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

5. Tighten the intake manifold bolts in sequence shown to 23Nm (17 lb ft).
6. Connect the electrical connectors as necessary.




7. Connect the evaporative emission (EVAP) hose (1) to the EVAP solenoid.




8. Connect the PCV hose (1) to the intake manifold.




9. Connect the brake booster vacuum hose (1) from the intake manifold.
10. Install the air outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LF1) (Service and Repair)Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LLT) (Service and Repair).
11. Install the fuel pipe shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement (LF1) (Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement)Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement (LLT) (Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement).
