Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement




Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LLT)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the cross car brace, if necessary. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the oil fill cap (1).
3. Disengage the cover/shield (2) from the ball studs by pulling up firmly on the right and left front of the engine cover.
4. Pull the engine cover/sight shield forward to remove from the rear tabs (3).
5. Remove the engine cover/sight shield.
6. Remove the front compartment sight shield, if necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement (Service and Repair).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the front compartment sight shield, if necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Raise the front edge of the cover (2) while inserting the rear tabs (3).
3. Lower the front edge of the cover and slide cover rearward so that the rear tabs slide under the retainers.
4. Align the cover over the oil fill tube.
5. Press the cover down firmly on the ball stud at the right front corner.
6. Install the oil fill cap (1).
7. Install the cross car brace, if necessary. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement (Service and Repair).
