Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (V6)

Special Tools
* J-25033-C - Pulley Installer
* J-25034-C - Pulley Remover

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools Tools and Equipment.

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
2. If equipped, remove the power brake booster auxiliary pump. Refer to Power Brake Booster Auxiliary Pump Replacement Service and Repair.
3. Disconnect the drive belt from the power steering pump pulley only. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .




4. Use the J-25034-C - remover in order to remove the power steering pump pulley.

Installation Procedure




1. Use the J-25033-C - installer in order to install the power steering pump pulley.




2. Ensure that the axial tolerance of the power steering pump pulley on the power steering pump is within 0.25 mm (0.010 in).
3. Connect the drive belt from the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
4. If equipped, install the power brake booster auxiliary pump. Refer to Power Brake Booster Auxiliary Pump Replacement Service and Repair.
5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
