Body Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Release the BCM wire harness retainer (3) from the BCM bracket (4).
3. Remove the BCM bracket nuts (2).
4. Remove the BCM (1) and BCM bracket (4) as an assembly.
5. Remove the BCM (1) from the BCM bracket (4).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the BCM (1) to the BCM bracket (4).
2. Install the BCM (1) and BCM bracket (4) as an assembly.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the BCM bracket nuts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the BCM wire harness retainer (3) to the BCM bracket (4).
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
