Fuel Pressure Regulator Replacement

Removal Procedure





Notice:
Refer to Fuel Pressure Notice Fuel Pressure Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Service and Repair.

Caution:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator.

4. Disconnect the fuel return hose from the fuel pressure regulator.





5. Disconnect the fuel rail hose.

6. Remove the fuel pressure regulator.

Installation Procedure





Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Insert the fuel pressure regulator.

Tighten the fuel pressure regulator retaining bolts to 12 Nm (106 lb in).

2. Connect the fuel rail hose, the fuel return hose, and the vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator.

3. Connect the negative battery cable.

4. Perform a leak test of the fuel pressure regulator with the engine OFF and the ignition ON.
