Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Caution:
Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking Notice Vehicle Lifting and Jacking Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Raise and suitable support the vehicle.

3. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Frame and Underbody.

4. Place a drip pan under the hoses to catch the fluid that will run out of the lines.

5. Remove the bolt from the oil cooler outlet pipe at the right lower side of the radiator.

6. Remove the bolt from the outlet pipe bracket.





7. Remove the bolt from the outlet pipe on the transaxle side.

8. Remove the outlet pipe assembly.





9. Remove the bolt from the oil cooler inlet pipe at the left lower side of the radiator.





10. Remove the bolt from the inlet pipe at the transaxle side.

11. Remove the inlet pipe assembly.

Installation Procedure





Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the inlet pipe assembly and the assembly bolts.

Tighten the inlet pipe bolts to 35 Nm (26 lb ft).





2. Install the outlet pipe assembly and the assembly bolts.

Tighten the outlet pipe bolts to 35 Nm (26 lb ft).

3. Refill the transaxle fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Draining 16. Transmission Fluid Draining.

4. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Frame and Underbody.

5. Connect the negative battery cable.
