Generator Replacement

Removal Procedure

Note: Service the generator as a complete unit.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection).
2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement ().
3. Remove the generator electrical connections.
4. Remove the generator mounting nuts and bolts.
5. Remove the generator.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the generator.

* Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
* Tighten the nuts to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).

2. Install the generator electrical connections.
3. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement ().
4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection).
