Body Lock Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.
2. Remove the rear seat back bolster. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement.
3. Remove the rear sill trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Without 6A3) Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Without 6A3)Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (With 6A3) Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (With 6A3).
Note:
When removing the body lock pillar lower trim take care not to damage the locating pins.
4. Partially remove the rear door weatherstrip to gain access behind the body lock pillar lower trim (3).
5. With a suitable tool pry the body lock pillar lower trim clips (4) away from the vehicle body (5).
6. With a suitable tool pry the body lock pillar lower trim (2) away from the body lock pillar (1).
7. Remove the body lock pillar trim (3).
Installation Procedure
Note:
When installing the body lock pillar lower trim (3) ensure the retaining clips (4) and the locating pins are correctly aligned with the cavities in the vehicle body lock pillar (1).
1. Install the body lock pillar lower trim (3).
Note:
Make sure the lip of the weatherstrip sits over the trim panels.
2. Install the removed portion of the rear door weatherstrip.
3. Install the rear sill trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Without 6A3) Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Without 6A3)Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (With 6A3) Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (With 6A3).
4. Install the rear seat back bolster. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement.
5. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.
