Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the number 4 cylinder spark plug wire. Refer to Spark Plug Wire Replacement Service and Repair.





2. Remove the oil level indicator (1) from the oil level indicator tube (3).

3. Remove the oil level indicator tube to cylinder head retaining bolt (2).

4. Remove the oil lever indicator tube (3) from the engine block (4).

Installation Procedure





1. Lubricate the oil lever indicator tube O-ring seal (1) with clean engine oil.





Note:
Make sure the oil level indicator tube (3) seats securely into the engine block (4).

2. Install the oil level indicator tube (3) into the engine block (4).

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

3. Install the oil level indicator tube to cylinder head retaining bolt (2).

Tighten the bolt to 25 Nm (18 Ib ft).

4. Install the oil level indicator (1) into the oil level indicator tube (2).

5. Install the number 4 cylinder spark plug wire. Refer to Spark Plug Wire Replacement Service and Repair.
