Wiring Harness HVAC: Service and Repair




Air Valve Actuator Control Module Harness Replacement (LHD)

Removal Procedure

Warning:
Refer to Safety Glasses Warning Safety Glasses Warning.


1. Remove the HVAC module assembly. Refer to Air Conditioning and Heater Module Assembly Removal and Installation Service and Repair.





2. Disconnect the main mode actuator electrical connector (1).

3. Disconnect the air mix actuator electrical connector (2).

4. Disconnect the rear mode actuator electrical connector (3).

5. Detach the wiring harness (5) from the HVAC module assembly (4).





6. Detach the wiring harness (1) from the HVAC module assembly (2).





7. Disconnect the evaporator temperature sensor electrical connector (1).

Note:
The passenger air mix actuator is fitted to dual zone or tri zone (automatic) HVAC module assemblies. Ignore step 8 if working on a single zone (manual) HVAC equipped vehicle.

8. Disconnect the passenger air mix actuator electrical connector (2).





9. Disconnect the air intake fresh/recirculation actuator electrical connector (1).





Note:
The single zone HVAC module only has the one connector. The dual zone HVAC module has two connectors. The tri zone HVAC module has three connectors.

10. Disconnect the HVAC module electrical connectors (3) as required.

11. Remove the wiring harness (1) from the HVAC module assembly (2).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the wiring harness (1) to the HVAC module assembly (2).

Note:
The single zone HVAC module has one connector. The dual zone HVAC module has two connectors. The tri zone HVAC module has three connectors.

2. Connect the HVAC module electrical connectors (3) as required.





3. Connect the air intake fresh/recirculation actuator electrical connector (1).





Note:
The passenger air mix actuator is fitted to dual zone or tri zone (automatic) HVAC module assemblies. Ignore step 4 if working on a single zone (manual) HVAC equipped vehicle.

4. Connect the passenger air mix actuator electrical connector (2).

5. Connect the evaporator temperature sensor electrical connector (1).





6. Attach the wiring harness (1) to the HVAC module assembly (2).





7. Attach the wiring harness (5) from the HVAC module assembly (4).

8. Connect the rear mode actuator electrical connector (3).

9. Connect the air mix actuator electrical connector (2).

10. Connect the main mode actuator electrical connector (1).

11. Install the HVAC module assembly. Refer to Air Conditioning and Heater Module Assembly Removal and Installation Service and Repair.
