Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement

Removal Procedure





Note:
If installing the previously removed transmission control lever knob, it can be reassembled before installation. Slide the knob onto the transmission control until the clip engages.

1. Using a suitable tool release the selector lever knob (1) from the control lever assembly.





2. Remove the selector lever retaining screw (1) and lever backing (3).





3. Remove the selector lever metal retaining clip (1).

4. Remove the selector lever spacer.

5. Remove the selector lever by sliding upwards off assembly.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the selector lever (1) by sliding down on the assembly.

2. Install the selector lever spacer (2).

3. Install the selector lever metal retainer clip.





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

4. Install the selector lever backing (3) and retaining screw (1) and tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

5. Install the selector lever release knob into selector lever.
