Luggage Compartment Description and Operation

Rear Compartment Lid System Components

The rear compartment lid release system consists of the following components:

* Rear Compartment Lid Latch

* Trunk Release Switch

* Trunk Release Relay

* Trunk Release 10A Fuse

* Body Control Module (BCM)

Rear Compartment Lid System Controls

The rear compartment lid may be released by any of the following:

* Trunk release switch activation

* Keyless entry trunk release command

Rear Compartment Lid Release Operation

In order for the rear compartment lid latch to release the trunk lid, the transaxle must be in the PARK position and the trunk release button is pressed or the trunk symbol on the remote keyless entry transmitter is pressed.
