Shift Cable: Adjustments

Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.





2. Pull the secondary adjuster lock (4) rearward.

3. Using a flat bladed tool, push the primary adjuster lock (5) upward.

4. Ensure that the shift lever and the transmission control are in the Park position.

5. Press the primary adjuster lock (5) downward in order to lock the range selector lever cable.

6. Push the secondary adjuster lock (4) forward to lock in the primary adjuster lock.

7. Verify the proper operation of the transmission.

8. Install the air cleaner assembly in the vehicle. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.
