Fuel Tank Filler Hose Replacement (Cab/Chassis)

Removal Procedure




1. Drain the fuel below the fuel fill neck. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining (Gasoline) (Procedures)Fuel Tank Draining (Emission Reduction Fluid) (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the filler housing fasteners (1).




3. Remove the filler hose ground fastener (1).
4. Loosen the hose clamps (2).
5. Remove the fuel tank filler hose (3).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the fuel tank filler hose (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Tighten the hose clamps (2) to 6 Nm(53 lb in).
3. Tighten the filler hose ground fastener (1) to 10 Nm(89 lb in).




4. Tighten the filler housing fasteners (1) to 10 Nm (89 lb in)
5. Fill the fuel to the previous level.
