Starter Motor - Removal

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise vehicle and support.
3. Remove the front mount through bolt.




4. Remove front engine mount bolt (2).
5. Remove crossmember front mounting bolts (1).




6. Remove crossmember mounting bolts (3).
7. Remove crossmember from vehicle.




8. Remove front engine mounting bolts (2).
9. Loosen front engine mounting thru bolts (1).




10. Remove the front engine mount bracket from engine block.




11. Remove upper starter mounting bolts and ground wire.




12. Remove the battery cable from starter.




13. Remove middle and lower starter mounting bolts.




14. Remove the lower starter bolt and remove starter.
15. Pull starter from engine block and tip up near exhaust manifold and rotate to remove.




16. Remove dust shield from starter.
