SYMPTOM
P0712 - TRANSMISSION TEMPERATURE SENSOR VOLTAGE TOO LOW

WHEN MONITORED
Continuously with the key ON and the engine running.

SET CONDITION
This code Will set if the Transmission Temperature Sensor Signal circuit voltage goes below 1.55 volts for 2.2 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Powertrain Control Module
- 5 volt supply circuit shorted to ground
- 5 volt supply circuit shorted to ground inside transmission
- 5 volt supply circuit shorted to sensor ground
- 5 volt supply circuit shorted to sensor ground inside transmission
- Intermittent transmission temperature sensor
- Transmission temperature sensor signal circuit shorted to ground
- Transmission temperature sensor signal circuit shorted to sensor ground
- Transmission temperature sensor signal circuit shorted to ground inside transmission
- Transmission temperature sensor signal circuit shorted to sensor ground inside transmission
