Headliner - Installation






INSTALLATION

Standard Cab





CAUTION: Hands should be clean or clean cloth gloves used when handling the headliner to avoid damage to the headliner.

NOTE: Quad cab shown, standard cab is similar.

1. Position the coat hooks (5) onto the headliner and install the screws into the mounting clips.
2. Close the screw caps fully.
3. Position the visor supports (3) onto the headliner and install the screws into the mounting clips.
4. Install the overhead console (2) Front Overhead Console - Installation.
5. Position the visors onto the headliner and install the screws (4) into the mounting clips.
6. Install the headliner through the front passenger door.
7. Lift the headliner into position and engage the visor center supports.




Position the wire harness on the A-pillar and seat the support clips (3) fully.





8. Connect the electrical connectors (1) and seat the support clip (2) fully.
9. Position the instrument panel side covers onto the instrument panel and seat fully.





10. Connect the CHMSL wiring electrical connector.
11. Install the floor console Floor Console - Installation.
12. Install the upper B-pillar trim B-Pillar Trim Panel - Installation.
13. Install the A-pillar trim A-Pillar Trim Panel - Installation.

Quad/Crew/Mega Cab





CAUTION: Hands should be clean or clean cloth gloves used when handling the headliner to avoid damage to the headliner.

1. Install the DVD monitor to the headliner, if equipped.
2. Position the coat hooks (5) onto the headliner and install the screws into the mounting clips.
3. Close the screw caps fully.
4. Position the visor supports (3) onto the headliner and install the screws into the mounting clips.
5. Install the overhead console (2) Front Overhead Console - Installation.
6. Position the visors onto the headliner and install the screws (4) into the mounting clips.
7. Tip the headliner (1) so the right hand side is low in the vehicle and left hand side is highest in Z.
8. Install the headliner through the front passenger door.
9. Lift the headliner into position and engage the drivers side visor center support.





10. Connect the electrical connectors (1) for the sunroof module, if equipped.





11. Connect the CHMSL electrical connector (1).





12. Connect the DVD monitor electrical connectors (1), if equipped.





13. Connect the C-pillar electrical connectors (1).
14. Insert the passenger side coat hook.
15. Insert the passenger side visor center support.
16. Install the visor outboard screws.
17. Connect the body harness electrical connector and install the body clip right hand side.
18. Install the DVD unit mounting clips into the sheet metal.
19. Install the two remaining DVD screws.
20. Seat the sunroof trim ring if equipped.




Position the wire harness on the A-pillar and seat the support clips (3) fully.





21. Connect the electrical connectors (1) and seat the support clip (2) fully.
22. Position the instrument panel side covers onto the instrument panel and seat fully.
23. Install the floor console Floor Console - Installation.

NOTE: Keep the bulb portion of the seal assembly toward the operator while installing and always compress the seal assembly back toward the starting point. Avoid stretching and puckering the seal assembly especially around the corners - corners are critical

24. Install the door seals.
a. Align the paint dot on the seal assembly to the upper B-pillar corner.
b. Insert the seal at A-pillar corner or curved area, without stretching the part.
c. Push the seal assembly onto the side aperture sheet metal edge working down along the B-pillar and forward along the bottom of the door opening
d. Return to the starting point and push the seal assembly onto side aperture sheet metal edge working forward along the to edge of door opening header and part way down along the A-pillar. Match the ends of the seal assembly, seat the joint, and finish working forward along the bottom of the door opening and up along the A-pillar.
e. Seat the seal assembly firmly at the corners and around the entire perimeter using hand pressure only.
25. Install the upper C-pillar trim C-Pillar Trim Panel - Installation.
26. Install the upper B-pillar trim B-Pillar Trim Panel - Installation.
27. Install the A-pillar trim A-Pillar Trim Panel - Installation.
