Front Seat - Removal






REMOVAL

WARNING: Review all warnings and cautions prior to servicing the seats Service Precautions . Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious or fatal injury.

WARNING: Handled seats carefully when servicing. Be careful not to drop seats on the workbench or floor. If dropped, the seat position sensor may become damaged and inoperative. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious or fatal injury.

NOTE: Typical left side seat shown in illustrations. Right side seat similar.





1. Move the seat full forward.
2. Remove the trim cover (1).
3. Remove the nut (2) from the stud located on the outboard seat cushion frame.
4. Remove the lower seat belt anchor (3) from the stud.





5. Remove the two bolts (1) that secure the rear of the seat to the body.





6. Move the seat full rearward.
7. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
8. Remove the two bolts (1) that secure the front of the seat to the body.





9. Tip the seat rearward and disconnect the harness electrical connectors (3, 4) from the seat's connectors (1, 2), as required.





10. Remove the seat (1) from the vehicle and carefully place it on a work bench or the floor.
