Test H: The Heated Seat Is Inoperative/Does Not Operate Correctly - Driver

PINPOINT TEST H: THE HEATED SEAT IS INOPERATIVE/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY - DRIVER

Normal Operation
The driver and passenger heated seat modules share a common battery and ignition feed and have a separate ground source. The HVAC module includes the heated seat control buttons and indicators. The heated seat system will function when the HVAC module is ON or OFF. When a heated seat control button on the HVAC module is pressed with the ignition switch in RUN or START, a momentary ground signal is sent to the heated seat module. Upon receiving a signal, the heated seat module will decrease one setting (the sequence is HI, LO, OFF, HI, etc.). When the heated seat system is ON, the heated seat module then supplies power to the heater mat circuit. The cushion and backrest heater mats are wired in series and powered by the same output. The heated seat module will remain ON for 10 minutes or until switched off. The heated seat does not return to an on state when the ignition switch is cycled ON.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Fuse(s)
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Cushion heater mat
- Backrest heater mat
- Heated seat module
- HVAC module
