Pinpoint Test AP: The Memory Feedback Warning Chime Is Inoperative

Normal Operation

The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) receives the memory feedback chime request from the Body Control Module (BCM) over the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN). When a successful memory set procedure is carried out, the Driver Seat Module (DSM) sends a chime request over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN) to the BCM (Body Control Module), which gateways the chime request to the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) to sound the memory feedback chime.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:

- DSM (Driver Seat Module)

- IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster)
