Governor Body and Speedometer Drive Gear

DISASSEMBLE
1. Secondary valve spring retainer (411).
2. Secondary valve spry (414) secondary valve (413). and the primary valve (415).





Inspect
^ Primary (415) and secondary (413) valves for:
- Nicks.
- Burls.
^ Fluid passages and valve bores for:
- Nicks.
- Burrs.
- Varnish.

ASSEMBLE
1. Secondary valve (413), secondary valve spring (414), and the primary valve (415) into governor body (412). Install valves in bores small end first.
2. Secondary valve spring retainer (411).
3. Governor assembly (407), gasket (410) and bolts (416) onto governor hub (408).

Tighten
- Bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb. in.). Valves should move freely.

4. Speedometer drive gear (340) and retaining clip (339) Retainer ring (341).
