Rear Roof Trim Replacement

Special Tools Required

- KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014*

NOTE:

- Take care not to scratch the body.

- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Pry up the caps (A), with the appropriate trim tool, to detach the hooks (B), then remove them, and remove the nuts securing the rear roof trim (C).






2. Pry up on the rear roof trim (A), with the appropriate trim tool, along three front clips (B) to release them from the grommets (C). Start with the left front clip, and work your way to the right clip.

3. Place your hand under the rear roof trim and lift up to release the four remaining clips from the grommets.






4. Detach the hooks (A) of the rear roof trim (B) with the appropriate trim tool (C) from the C-pillar outer trim (D) on both sides while pulling out the rear roof trim.






5. Remove the connector grommets (A) from the body, and then disconnect the antenna connector (B) and the high mount brake light connector (C), then remove the rear roof trim (D).

6. Remove the clips (E) from the rear roof trim, and replace them with new ones. Push the new clips firmly into the clip pads (F) until they snap into position.

NOTE: The clip must be replaced every time the rear roof trim is removed.






7. Remove the trim grommets (A, B) from the roof area, with the appropriate trim tool, and replace them with new ones.

NOTE:

- The grommets must be replaced every time the rear roof trim is removed.

- Clear any dirt or debris from the body holes before installing the new grommets.





8. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Always replace the clips and the grommets with new ones.

- Make sure the antenna connector and the high mount brake light connector are plugged in properly.

- Make sure the each connector grommet is installed securely.

- Push down on the roof trim (A) in the clip areas until the clips snap securely into the grommets with an audible click.
