Steering Angle Sensor: Service and Repair

VSA System Steering Angle Sensor Replacement

NOTE: Do not damage or drop the combination switch as the steering angle sensor is sensitive to shock and vibration.

1. Make sure the ignition switch is in LOCK (0).

2. Remove the steering wheel, Steering Wheel Removal and steering column cover. Steering Column Removal and Installation

3. Remove the cable reel Service and Repair and the combination switch assembly. Steering Column Removal and Installation

4. Remove the wiper/turn switch (A).

5. Replace the combination switch body assembly (B).

6. Install the combination switch in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:

- Do not remove the steering angle sensor from the combination switch body.

- When installing the cable reel, set the turn signal canceling sleeve position. Service and Repair

7. Do the steering angle sensor center point writing.
