Dashboard Center Lower Console Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations and the precautions and procedures Service Precautions before doing repairs or service.

NOTE:

- Take care not to scratch the dashboard or the related parts.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. From under the dash, remove the driver's heater panel (A) and the passenger's heater panel (B).

1. Pull out the panel to detach the clips (C, D) and to release the hooks (E).

2. Release the panel from the stud (F).





2. Remove these items:

- Center middle panel Dashboard Center Middle Panel Removal/Installation
- Passenger's middle panel Dashboard Passengers Middle Panel Removal/Installation
- Multi-purpose hook

3. Remove the screws (A, B) securing the center lower console (C).






4. Remove the center lower console (A).

1. Pull out the console to detach the clips (B, C).

2. Disconnect the humidity/in-car temperature sensor connector (D) and the air hose (E).

3. Disconnect the center lower console subharness connector (F).

4. Disconnect the cool box hoses (G) on both sides.





5. Install the console in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
- Make sure the air hose and the cool box hoses are connected securely.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.

Multi-Purpose Hook Replacement

1. Remove the screws, release the hooks (A), then remove the multi-purpose hook (B) from the center lower console (C).






2. Install the multi-purpose hook in the reverse order of removal, and push the hooks into place securely.

Front Console Damper Replacement

1. Remove the passenger's heater panel.

2. Remove the front console damper (A) from the center lower console (B).

1. Remove the screw.

2. Open the cool box (C), and disconnect the damper from the pivot (D).





3. Install the damper in the reverse order of removal.

Center Tray Replacement

1. Remove these items:

- Center lower console
- Multi-purpose hook

2. Remove the center tray (A) from the center lower console (B).

1. Detach the harness clip (C).

2. Remove the screws.

3. Pull out the tray to detach the clip.





3. Install the tray in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips into place securely.
