Trim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the lift gate pullstrap. Refer toPullstrap Replacement - Lift Gate (Pullstrap Replacement - Lift Gate) .
2. Remove the bolt that retains the cargo tie down.




3. Remove the 2 push pin fasteners at the bottom edge of the liftgate trim panel
4. Gently pull on the lift gate trim panel to disengage the retaining clips.
5. Remove the lift gate trim panel from the vehicle.
6. Inspect for broken or missing retaining clips and replace the clips as necessary.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the lift gate trim panel to the vehicle on the liftgate trim panel.

1. Align the retaining clips on the liftgate trim panel with the openings in the lift gate.
2. Gently press inward on the liftgate trim panel to engage the clips.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Service Precautions in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the cargo tie down and secure with the tie down bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

3. Install the lift gate pullstrap. Refer toPullstrap Replacement - Lift Gate (Pullstrap Replacement - Lift Gate) .
4. Install the 2 push pin fasteners at the bottom edge of the liftgate trim panel.
