Liftgate Wiring Harness Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement (SUV) (Service and Repair).
3. Disconnect the latch electrical connectors.
4. Disconnect the lock actuator electrical connector.
5. Disconnect the rear wiper motor electrical connector.
6. Disconnect the rear wiper module connectors.
7. Disconnect the rear defroster grid connectors.
8. With a flat-bladed tool, release all the retainers attaching the wiring harness to the liftgate.




9. Note routing. Remove the wiring harness from the liftgate through the pass-through holes (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Route wiring harness through the pass-through holes (1).
2. Noting proper routing, attach all the retainers securing the harness to the liftgate.
3. Connect the rear defroster grid connectors.
4. Connect the rear wiper module connectors.
5. Connect the rear wiper motor electrical connectors.
6. Connect the lock actuator electrical connector.
7. Connect the latch electrical connectors.
8. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement (SUV) (Service and Repair).
