Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Service and Repair

CAUTION: Do not disassemble the proportioning valve. The proportioning valve regulates the distribution of fluid pressure to the front and rear brakes to prevent skidding in the event of rear wheel lock and to obtain a greater brake efficiency.






1. Remove and Install using the image as a guide.
Tightening torque:
- Flare Nut: 13-17 Nm (9-12 ft. lbs.)
- Mounting Nut: 8-12 Nm (6-9 ft. lbs.)
2. Bleed brake system. Service and Repair
