Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

EXHAUST MANIFOLD

Components:





REMOVAL
1. Remove the oxygen sensor connector(A).





2. Remove the front muffler.
3. Remove the heat protector(A) after removing the oxygen sensor connector with using the SST(09280-4A000).





4. Remove the exhaust manifold stay(A).





5. Remove the exhaust manifold and gasket.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the exhaust manifold(A) with the gasket(B).





2. Install the exhaust manifold stay(A).

Tightening torque:
C1, C2, C5: 18.6-27.5Nm (1.9-2.8kgf.m, 13.7-20.2lb-ft)
C3, C4: 52.0-57.9Nm (5.3-5.9kgf.m, 38.3-42.7lb-ft

1) Slightly tighten the bolts (C1 - C4) for fixing the stay(A).
2) Tighten the bolts fully as the order. (C1 -> C2 -> C3 -> C4 -> C5)





3. Install the heat protector(A) after fixing the oxygen sensor with the SST(09280 - 4A000).





4. Install the front muffler.

Tightening torque:
39.2-58.8Nm (4.0-6.0kgf.m, 28.92-43.37lb-ft)

5. Install the oxygen sensor connector.
