Illumination Circuit

DESCRIPTION

Power is supplied to the multi-display and steering pad switch illumination when the light control switch is in the TAIL or HEAD position.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK ILLUMINATION
(a) Check if the illumination for the multi-display, radio receiver, glove box, or other (hazard switch, cigarette lighter etc.) comes on when the light control switch is turned to the HEAD or TAIL position.

B -- GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY - BATTERY)





(a) Disconnect the M21 display connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RHEOSTAT - MULTI-DISPLAY AND BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the R12 rheostat connector.
(b) Disconnect the M21 display connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
