Reverse Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The navigation ECU receives a reverse signal from the park/neutral position switch and information about the navigation antenna, and then adjusts vehicle position.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK BACK-UP LIGHT
(a) Move the shift lever to the R position.
(b) Check the back-up light.
OK:
The back-up light ON.
NG -- GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH - NAVIGATION ECU AND BATTERY)





(a) Disconnect the P1 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the N8 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH





(a) Disconnect the P1 switch connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
