Removal








2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER LINK ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE COWL TOP PANEL OUTER SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Disconnect the rain sensor connector. (with Auto Wiper)
(b) Remove the 2 wire harness clamps.
(c) Remove the grommet.
(d) Remove the 6 nuts, and then remove the 2 front shock absorber caps. (with Air Suspension)
(e) Remove the 4 set nuts of the shock absorber.
(f) Remove the 4 bolts and 2 nuts, and then remove the cowl top panel outer sub-assembly.
(g) Tighten the 4 set nuts of the shock absorber.
Torque: 80 Nm (815 kgf-cm, 59 ft-lbf)
HINT: Install the 4 nuts to prevent the shock absorber from dropping.

3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Testing and Inspection

4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1 Exhaust Side)






(a) Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
(b) Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve.
(c) Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve.
11. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1 Intake Side)






(a) Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
(b) Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve.
(c) Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve.
12. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2 Exhaust Side)






(a) Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
(b) Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve.
(c) Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve.
13. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2 Intake Side)






(a) Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
(b) Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve.
(c) Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve.
