SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: SEAT POSITION SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION
CAUTION: Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Repair Instruction - Initialization

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB Disassembly

5. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB Disassembly

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY Disassembly

7. REMOVE SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR






(a) Remove the seat slide position sensor protector from the seat position sensor.
8. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR
(a) Disconnect the connector from the seat position sensor.






(b) Using a "torx" socket wrench (T30), remove the "torx" screw and the seat position sensor.
