BRAKE: HYDRAULIC BRAKE BOOSTER: INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET
(a) Install a new brake booster gasket on the master cylinder.
2. INSTALL HYDRAULIC BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the hydraulic brake booster assembly with the 4 nuts.
Torque: 14 Nm (145 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)
(b) Connect the 4 brake lines to the correct positions of the hydraulic brake booster assembly as shown in the illustration.
(c) Using a union nut wrench, torque the 4 brake lines.
without union nut wrench - Torque: 16 Nm (158 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)
with union nut wrench - Torque: 14 Nm (145 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.).
- The torque value for use with a union nut wrench is effective when the union nut wrench is parallel to the torque wrench.
(d) Connect the 3 connectors to the hydraulic brake booster assembly.
3. INSTALL PUSH ROD PIN
(a) Install the clip and push rod pin to the clevis.
4. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN HOLE COVER
(a) Install the steering column hole cover with the 4 clips.
5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL LH
6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER LH
7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PLATE
8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ORNAMENT
9. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH
10. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR FOOT REST
11. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
13. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID
