DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the state of the tail cancel signal and sends auto dimmer signal to each ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: Start the inspection from step 1 in the case of using the intelligent tester, and start from step 3 in the case of not using the intelligent tester.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (TAIL CANCEL SWITCH)
(a) Using the Techstream, read the Data List.

OK:
Switch condition (ON/OFF) can be switched by actual operation.
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT




(a) Check continuity of the light control rheostat when operating the light control rheostat as shown in the chart below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPLACE LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
(a) Inspect the harness and the connectors related to each ECU or meter by referring to the wiring diagram.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
