2GR-FE COOLING: THERMOSTAT: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Testing and Inspection
2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM COVER SIDE Removal
4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SEAL RH
5. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH Removal
6. REMOVE ENGINE MOVING CONTROL ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
7. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal
8. REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt, No. 2 idler pulley cover plate and No. 2 idler pulley.
9. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET





(a) Slide the clamp and disconnect the radiator hose outlet.
10. REMOVE WATER INLET





(a) Remove the 2 nuts and water inlet.
11. REMOVE THERMOSTAT
(a) Remove the gasket from the thermostat.
