2GR-FE EXHAUST: EXHAUST PIPE: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
2. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER
3. REMOVE EXHAUST TAIL PIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.





(b) Remove the exhaust tail pipe.
(c) Remove the gasket from the exhaust center pipe assembly from the 3 exhaust pipe supports.
4. REMOVE EXHAUST TAIL PIPE BAFFLE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Using a plastic hammer, tap out the exhaust tail pipe baffle sub-assembly uniformly to remove.
5. REMOVE EXHAUST CENTER PIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.





(b) Remove the exhaust center pipe assembly.
(c) Remove the gasket from the No. 3 exhaust front pipe sub-assembly.
(d) Remove the 2 bolts and exhaust pipe damper.
6. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1) Removal
7. REMOVE NO. 3 EXHAUST FRONT PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, No. 3 exhaust front pipe sub-assembly and 2 gaskets.





8. REMOVE EXHAUST FRONT PIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector (for Bank 2).
(b) Remove the 2 nuts, exhaust front pipe assembly , and gasket.





9. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2) Removal
