2GR-FE CHARGING: GENERATOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the wire harness clamp stay.
Torque: 8.4 Nm (86 kgf-cm, 74in-lbf)





(b) Install the generator bracket with the nut.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15ft-lbf)
(c) Connect the wire harness clamp.
(d) Install the generator assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15ft-lbf)





(e) Install the 2 bolts.
Torque: 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32ft-lbf)





(f) Connect the generator connector to the generator assembly.
(g) Install the generator wire with the nut.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87in-lbf)
(h) Install the terminal cap.
(i) Connect the 2 wire harness clamps.
(j) Connect the magnetic clutch connector to the compressor and magnetic clutch.

6. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER Installation
7. CONNECT RADIATOR RESERVOIR TANK HOSE Installation
8. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation
9. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
10. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT
11. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
12. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation
13. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM COVER SIDE Installation
14. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation
15. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
16. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH
17. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
18. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
19. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76ft-lbf)
20. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL Installation
21. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization procedure Repair Instruction - Initialization.
HINT: Some vehicle systems require initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
