PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: REAR VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM (W/ Side Monitor System): C1621,C1622: Back Camera Power Supply Failure


DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the parking assist ECU judges as a result of its self check that the signals or signal lines between the parking assist ECU and the rear television camera assembly are not normal.

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Rear View Monitor System (W/ Side Monitor System).

(b) Check for DTCs Rear View Monitor System (W/ Side Monitor System).

2. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU (CB+, CGND)

(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU (CV+, CV-)

(a) Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - REAR TELEVISION CAMERA)

OK -- REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU Removal

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - REAR TELEVISION CAMERA)

(a) Disconnect the I2 parking assist ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the X1 rear television camera assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. REPLACE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the rear television camera assembly with a new or normally function one Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Rear View Monitor System (W/ Side Monitor System).

(b) Check for DTCs Rear View Monitor System (W/ Side Monitor System).
