Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

EVAPORATOR REMOVAL
1. Discharge refrigerant from refrigeration system.
2. Remove blower unit. Service and Repair
3. Remove evaporator.


Fig. 39 Evaporator Core Replacement:






a. Remove the 2 bolts for the liquid and suction tube. Torque: 10 Nm (100 kgf.cm. 7 ft.lb.).
b. Remove the 8 screws and the evaporator cover.







c. Pull and remove the evaporator.


EVAPORATOR INSTALLATION
1. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

IMPORTANT: Lubricate the new O-rings with compressor oil and install the tubes.
