Clearing Trouble Codes

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CLEARANCE
The following actions will erase the DTCs and freeze frame data:

- Operating the OBD II scan tool (complying with SAE J1978) or LEXUS hand-held tester to erase the codes.
- Follow manufacturer instructions for the scanner used.

- Disconnecting the battery terminals, ECM connector or "EFI" (15 amp) fuse (in the engine room fuse box).

NOTE: Removing the battery terminals will clear ALL memory systems (radio stations, etc.).
