DESCRIPTION

Each of the smart access system with push-button start's warnings uses the key reminder warning buzzer to alert the driver.
The combination meter repeatedly sounds the key reminder warning buzzer when one of the following occurs: 1) the activation conditions for the smart access system with push-button start warning is met, or 2) the certification ECU assembly sends a key reminder warning buzzer signal via the BEAN line to the combination meter.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT:
The smart access system with push-button start is part of the large-scale body multiplex communication system. The first step in any repair is to confirm the proper operation of the multiplex communication system. Perform the troubleshooting after proper operation of the multiplex communication has been verified.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (COMBINATION METER)
(a) Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the meter operates.
