INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU BRANCH WIRE)

(a) Disconnect the seat belt control ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CANH, CANL)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the seat belt control ECU connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
