DESCRIPTION

The information of the AFS OFF switch state is sent to the AFS ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SWITCH - ECU AND BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the A32 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the A31 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT AFS OFF SWITCH




(a) Remove the AFS OFF switch.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE AFS OFF SWITCH
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
