Variable Induction Control Actuator: Testing and Inspection

3UZ-FE INTAKE: INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE ACTUATOR: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. CHECK INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE ACTUATOR

(a) Connect the vacuum pump to the actuator.
(b) Apply a vacuum of 39.9 kPa (300 mmHg, 11.8 in.Hg) to the vacuum tank.
(c) 1 minute after applying the vacuum, check that the rod's position is as it was before applying the vacuum.
If the result is not as specified, replace the actuator.
