BRAKE CONTROL: ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM: C1311/11-C1314/14: Open in Main Relay 1 Circuit


DESCRIPTION

The ABS main relay (skid control ECU interior circuit) remains ON for approximately 2 minutes after the engine switch is turned off and the input of brake operation signals stops, and supplies power to the system to keep it ready to operate.





WIRING DIAGRAM

Refer to DTCs C1241/41 and C1242/42 C1241.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When replacing the skid control ECU, perform initialization of linear solenoid valve and calibration Initialization.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (ABS MAIN1, ABS MAIN2, ABS MAIN3, D-IG1-3, ECU-IG)

(a) Remove the ABS MAIN1, ABS MAIN2, ABS MAIN3, D-IG1-3 and ECU-IG fuses.

(b) Measure the resistance of the fuses.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (+BI1, +BI2, +BI3, +BI4)

(a) Disconnect the A19 and A21 ECU connectors.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. RECONFIRM DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Check if the same DTCs are recorded Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

HINT
Reinstall the sensors, connectors, etc. and restore the vehicle to its prior condition before rechecking for DTCs.
