How To Proceed With Troubleshooting





DOOR LOCK: SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

Standard voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

3. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

4. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Use the Techstream to check if the LIN communication system is functioning normally.

5. CHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Check for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output above, try to cause the output of the same steering lock system DTC or engine immobilizer system DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.
