SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
* The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE:
* After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
4. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE Removal

7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE Removal

8. REMOVE CENTER LOWER PILLAR GARNISH Removal

9. REMOVE CENTER UPPER PILLAR GARNISH Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE





(a) Remove the 2 screws and belt guide.

11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the nut and shoulder anchor.





(b) Disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration labeled A.

(c) Disconnect the tension reducer connector labeled B.

(d) w/ Pre-collision System:

Disconnect the pre-collision connector labeled C.





(e) Remove the 2 bolts and seat belt.

12. REMOVE HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE ANCHOR MOTOR LH





(a) Remove the connector.

(b) Pull the motor downward to remove it front the adjuster as shown in the illustration.

13. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR
ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and adjuster.
